About

I began my career in the private sector, commodity trading, before moving into education after a short career break during which I delivered three sons ! Moving from teaching (adults and further education) into teacher education in 2000. From there I moved into management, before taking up an academic role in 2010. Since 2009 I have been training and developing individuals through my company – AHW and Associates LTd.
My full time role is based at the Open University Business School. One of the top 3% of business schools in the UK, where I lead on the MBA Leadership Module, whilst also working on the undergraduate leadership Module. I am a Member of the Association for Coaching, a Principal Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. An honour bestowed on only 1% of fellows.
Over the years I have worked with a number of blue chip companies, both in a research and advisory capacity, and also offering keynote talks and development events. I have worked with numerous leaders both as part of my role on the MBA, and also as an Executive Coach. (although it is my belief that you certainly don’t have to be an executive to warrant a coach !).
I am invested in people development and am particularly interested in the role of professional development in enhancing confidence and feelings of job satisfaction.
I have also written a number of courses for private companies. For example, a course written for doctors, on teaching skills, for the well rated company , Oxford Medical Training Ltd, (in 2009), has steadily recruited over 2000 doctors per year and receives 5 star reviews on Trust pilot. As well as being accredited by the GMC . To find out more, please feel free to connect on Linkedin https://www.linkedin.com/in/professor-jacqueline-baxter-53206a12/.
